here's a little something about the history and
members of a beautiful noise.
originally it was only a guy and girl. yep, just leah
and me. we started writing very stripped down and bare versions of some of the songs that we still play live today, over five years later!
it wasn't until the introduction of brent on lead
guitars that changed the chemistry of the project.
(ohh that and i finally got an electric guitar). brent
and i started to really connect with each other. his
ability to create melodies almost instantaniously was amazing. this opened the doors for experimentation in the music. we ditched leah (well actually she got married and went off to texas) and started writing songs in my living room.
this went on for what felt like an eternity. we had
visions of a larger sound yet couldn't find a single
person that was willing to dedicate the time and
energy. after countless fliers posted for other
spaceheads, drone rockers, drug addicts, sonic
explorers, we finally found someone who could hear the the potential as well.
jeremy would be welcomed instantly. a drummer who could feel the parts and allow space and time for the other instruments. at this point we could really hear the songs beginning to take shape, the potential was there, only thing was we were only a three piece trying to create a whole symphony of sounds.
once again the search was on for other musicians,
after countless amounts of friends, enemies and idiots trying out, we finally found someone with the same passion for music and the music we were attempting to create as us.
emily, had never played keyboards before but was a
born musician. raised on a steady diet of shoegazing, ethereal and atmospheric music she was the perfect person to play keyboards for a beautiful noise, someone with heart and soul and the ability to learn. quickly.
everything was falling into place, the basic song
structures were being completed even if the the
line-up wasn't. we knew it was only a matter of time.
for us the wait would prove to be well worth it.
because the next person that would join would
definelty lift our songs to new heights.
lauren heard the music and was writing cello pieces
that were simply beautiful. melodies that just floated and drifted through the songs. we were on a roll and needed one last key person to complete (for now) the project.
this whole time we never had a bass player, it was
always myself or jeremy who were writing the
basslines. we needed a bassist, not a some guitarist
who thought he could play bass, but a bass player.
someone who could add that solid low end and also
someone who could groove. and boy did we find one.
mani plays bass the way a bass player should. he feels the music he plays. he is truly a master of his craft. our sound has only improved since mani has joined.
ideally we would love to get a saxophone and violin player, if anybody out there is
interested, please get in touch with us.
well, thats the story of a beautiful noise so far.
